Marjorie G. Mart, age 92, of Cridersville and formerly of Kemp died 1:50 p.m., Monday, Nov. 4 at Otterbein-Cridersville. She was born May 22, 1921 in Marion, Indiana to Andrew Newton and Mary Ellen Wilson Bradford. She married Charles E. Mart Nov. 2, 1940 and he preceded her in death Dec. 22, 1998. She later married Harry Richard Musselman Oct. 22, 2001 and he preceded her in death in 2007.
Marjorie had been the owner of Mart’s Antiques in Kemp from 1966 to 2000. She was a member of Cridersville United Methodist Church and the Faith Circle there and had also been a member of the Kemp Ladies Association, the church secretary and treasurer in Kemp and had taught Sunday school for years. She was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen Lodge Auxiliary 5559. She loved to garden, and was a supporter Otterbein-Cridersville, the YWCA among others. She enjoyed traveling with the Allen County Sr. Citizens and sang for many years with the Sweet Adelines. She even worked at the snack bar for Shawnee Schools in years past.
Survivors include 2 sons: Larry D. (Kathy) Mart of Lima, Ronald L. (Wendy) Mart of Columbus, 2 daughters: Marcia (Jack) Clay and Diana (Tom) Eversole both of Cridersville, 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and a great great grandson, a sister Joan (James) Lake of Marion, IN.
She was preceded in death by a brother David Bradford and a sister Wilma Bradford.
The family will receive friends 4-7 p.m., Thursday Nov. 7 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. The funeral service will begin 1:30 p.m., Friday with Rev. Charles Martindell officiating and burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery near Conant. Memorial contributions may be given to Cridersville United Methodist Church.
