Mark T. Smith, age 63 of Lima, passed at 9:50 p.m., Tuesday, January 9, 2023 at Shawnee Manor.  He was born October 26, 1959 in Lima, Ohio to Donald H. and Donna Poe Smith.  His father preceded in in death March 25, 2020 and his mother survives in Lima.

Mark spent over 50 years with Marimor going to school and continued working with Marimor Industries where he had many friends.  He loved watching NASCAR and cowboy movies with his father and listening to music on the radio.  He will be remembered for being a happy person with a kindhearted soul.

Also surviving is a sister Julie Roberts of Lima; 3 nieces – Sidney Roberts, Dakota Roberts and Eja Roberts; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a brother – Gary Alan Smith.

A mass celebration of life for Mark and his father, Don will begin 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at St. Gerards Catholic Church in Lima.  Father Michael Sergi will officiate, and burial will follow in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima.

The family will receive friends at St. Gerards Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 18^th from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
