Mary E. Spinnati, age 92, of Cridersville passed away 5:13 a.m., Monday April 10 at St. Rita’s Medical Center. She was born April 17, 1924 in Lima to the late Albert A. and Nellie Whitby Routson. Mary E. Spinnati, age 92, of Cridersville passed away 5:13 a.m., Monday April 10 at St. Rita’s Medical Center. She was born April 17, 1924 in Lima to the late Albert A. and Nellie Whitby Routson. She married Julius ‘Joe’ Spinnati April 28, 1966 and he survives in Cridersville.
Mary was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church and the alter rosary. She had volunteered for numerous years at St. Vincint DePaul and was a former member of the Lima Eagles.
Additional survivors include children: Cheryl (John) Iiames of Mcleansville, NC, Frank (Sandy) Spinnati of Cridersville and James (Judy) Spinnati of Portsmouth, 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by 5 children: Gregory Spinnati, Diana Spinnati, Alan Spinnati, Ronald Custer and Robert Custer and 5 siblings: Helen, May, Joe, Flossie and Robert.
The family will receive friends 2 -6 p.m., Wednesday, April 12 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.
A funeral scripture service will begin 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 13 at St. John’s Catholic Church and Father David Ross will officiate. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery at a later date.
