Obituary

Mary Ellen Dickson, age 84 of Lima, died at 10:12 a.m., Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Lima Manor with her family by her side. She was born on November 7, 1933 in Spencerville; to the late Otis LeRoy “Toad” and Sarah Catherine Purdy Adams. On February 5, 1957 she married Homer Allen Dickson who died December 9, 1999.

Mrs. Dickson retired from Roselawn Nursing Home and had been a supervisor with Springborn in Spencerville. Her hobbies included crocheting, doing puzzles, oil painting, gardening and playing farkal. She loved her family dearly and especially the four legged members.

She is survived by a son – Thomas A. (Katherine) Dickson of Lima; a daughter – Jane E. (Bill) Perry of Rockford; 9 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son – Stanley E. Dickson who died September 20, 2012 and a brother – Charles Lee Adams.

Funeral services will begin 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Rev. David Howell will officiate. Entombment will follow in Memorial Park Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association
