Mary Jane Hooker, age 80 of Lima, passed at 12:50 a.m., Thursday, February 27, 2020 at St. Rita’s Medical Center. She was born April 27, 1939 in Lima, Ohio to the late Venard James and Gennevieve Anna Burden Reinhart. On June 24, 1962 she married Edward L. Hooker, who survives.
Mrs. Hooker was a homemaker, a member of the Bethlehem Tabernacle Church, and enjoyed collecting angels.
Survivors also include 2 daughters – April (Paul) Pellegrini of Lima and Tiffanie (Robert) Barnes of Florida; 6 grandchildren – Mindy Von Deylen, Trevor (Ashton) Pellegrini, Heather Pellegrini, Conrad Barnes, Bella Barnes, and Xander Barnes; 4 great grandchildren – Gregory Pellegrini, Amelia Pellegrini, Luke Von Deylen, and Lincoln Von Deylen; 2 sisters – Marlene (James) Brown of Harrod and Charlene Jacobs of Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her sister Phyllis McKee and brother-in-law Paul Jacobs.
Funeral services will begin 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Pastor Matthias Snodderly will officiate. Burial will follow in Shawnee Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
