Mary M. Fruchey

April 14, 1928 - December 29, 2018

Mary Margaret Fruchey age 90, of Lima passed away 10:46 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 29 at the Meadows of Ottawa.  She was born April 14, 1928 in Toledo to the late Edwin Elliott and Lora Margaret Kahl Roll.  She married Emerson Cook Fruchey March 5, 1950 and he preceded her in death in 1993.

Mary loved Polka dancing and was a member of the Ohio Polka Boosters.  She also enjoyed sewing, crafting and being with family.  She retired after 17 years in food service, 16 of those years were at North Junior High cafeteria.

Survivors include son:  Craig Allen (Cindy) Fruchey of Cairo, daughters:  Carolyn (Tom) Carpenter of Zephyrhills, FL and Cheryl (Marvin) Kromer of Kalida, 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and a great great grandson; sisters:  Clara Ridenour of Lima, Sharon (Phil) Albert of Rising Sun, IN and Elaine Roll of Lima.

She was preceded in death by a sister Grace (Harold) Schmiedebusch and brother-in-law Harold Ridenour.

Graveside service will be held at a later date.  Online condolences may be shared at BayliffAndSon.com and memorial contributions may be given to Putnam County Home Care and Hospice.
