Mary Virginia Johns, age 87 of Cridersville, died at 10:20 a.m., Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Auglaize Acres, Wapakoneta. She was born January 16, 1931 in Hardin County, Ohio; to the late William and Zenith Jordan Twining. She married Lloyd Johns who preceded her in death in 1986.
Mrs. Johns had worked as an assistant manager with Spencer Gifts. She was a member of the Lima Community Church and the Cridersville Historical Society.
She is survived by a daughter – Judith Faye (Mike) Boham of Belle Center; 3 sons – Kenneth Wayne (Danielle) Johns of Rockford, IL; and twins – David Ray (Christina) Johns of Cridersville; Danny Duane (Rebecca) Johns of Cridersville; 16 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren 3 great great grandchildren; 8 sibilings – Harry (Alice) Twining of Wapakoneta; Elsie Plikerd of Lima; Nancy (Dale) Henderson of Lima; Jim (Sharron) Twining of Elida; Loren ‘Butch’ (Blanche) Twining of Lima; Glen (Nadine) Twining of Lima; Theresa Swallow of WI; and Twila Carr of Lima. of Lima.
She was preceded in death by a great grandchild – Lora Mary Renne’ Green; siblings – William Twining, Janet Rudisill, and Thomas Twining
Funeral services will begin 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Lima Community Church, 2945 North Cole St. Lima. Rev. Doug Boquist will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 31, 2018

I was so sorry to hear about your mother's death. I did not know her but did know David and Danny. My family and I extend our condolences.
Although I didn't know Mary well, what I DID know was her kindness, & her caring spirit. She always spoke the truth - no "sugar-coating" - and I liked that about her. She will be greatly missed. May God comfort, & be with, her family in this time of grief.

MARY WAS A GOOD FRIEND OF MINE FOR WELL OVER TWENTY PLUS YEARS. SO SORRY THAT WE WERE NOT ABLE TO MAKE IT TO RAOUL'S BASKETBALL GAMES. SHE WAS SO PROUD OF HIM. SHE WILL BE MISSED, I LOVED HER.
