Maxine Ball, age 83 of Wapakoneta, died Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 11:33 a.m. at Lima Memorial Hospital. She was born January 15, 1931 in Middlesboro, KY; to the late Howard and Lillie Jones Evans. On September 9, 1950 she married Shelby Monday, who died November 20, 1970. On November 27, 1972 she married Harold J. Ball who died March 27, 2010.
Until her death, Maxine was working at Cridersville Health Care. She enjoyed working with the people there and residents. Her hobbies included camping, fishing, cooking, and most of all she loved her family dearly.
Survivors include 3 sons – Rick Monday, Lee Monday both of Wapakoneta, and Aaron Ball of Columbus; 2 step sons – John (Lori) Ball of Spencerville; Jamie Ball of Defiance; a step daughter – Robin (Gregory) Sigler of Defiance; 4 grandchildren – Cody Montague, Jessica (Josh) Kennedy, Chris Monday, Jeremy Stewart; 12 step grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; a brother – Boyd Lee (Regina) Evans of Wapakoneta; and a special friend Marie; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a step son – Tony Ball; 2 grandchildren and a great grandson; a sister – Ruby Raines and a brother – Ira Burton.
Funeral services will begin 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Rev. Terry Brock will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home.
