Obituary

Melavee Benjamin age 72, of Lima passed away 7:53 a.m., Friday, April 8, 2022 at Care Corp of Lima. She was born June 19, 1949 in Lima to the late Bradley and Alta (Davis) Arnett. She was formerly married to Lonny Benjamin. Sr. of Lima.
Melavee was retired from the state of Ohio Corrections, Lima. She collected Nut Crackers and absolutely loved her dogs.
Additional survivors include 2 sons: Lonny (Stacey Snyder) Benjamin of Anna and Brian Benjamin of Columbus, 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and siblings: Victor Arnett of Lima, Loretta Slone of Lima, Fay Morris of Lima and Sabrina Furr of Cridersville.
She was preceded in death by siblings: Doyle Arnett, Shirley Wicker and Jeannie Tips.
The family will receive friends 3 to 4 p.m., Friday, April 15 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. The memorial service will follow at 4 with Charlotte Hefner officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to the funeral home c/o family pay on the website.

I'm so sorry to learn of Benji's death. We were friends for many years having met when we were working a part time job as cleaning ladies at Ohio Power. She was always optimistic and outgoing. Sympathies to her family.
