Obituary

Michael W. Golden, age 67 of Lima, died at 10:34 a.m., Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at his residence. He was born October 2, 1950 in Wheeling, WV; to the late Harvey L. and Emma Jean McClanahan Golden. On March 19, 1972 he married Carlotta Sue Williams, who preceded him on January 18, 2014.

Mr. Golden retired in 2005 as a conductor with the CSX Railroad and enjoyed anything train related. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, a member of the American Legion Post 96 of Lima, and the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge, Lima.

Survivors include a son – Michael D. (Tiffany) Golden of Wapakoneta; a daughter – Heather (Brian) Van Dyke of Lima; 2 grandchildren – Tyler Golden and Michael ‘Alex’ Golden; a brother – Bruce Ward of KY; 2 sisters – Sue (Kevin) Cox of Harrod and Diana (Ted) Uselton of TN.

Funeral services will begin 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Mark Foor will officiate. Military rites will be observed by the V.F.W. Post 1275 of Lima. Burial will be at a later date in Fairmount Cemetery, near Uniopolis.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the choice of the donor.
