Montzell M. ‘Monie’ Huber 87, of Wapak passed Sunday Aug. 23
at St. Rita’s Medical Center. She was born February 29, 1928 in Elida, Ohio to the late
Homer F. and Cecile F. Rigdon Miller. She married
Herman E. Huber Feb. 29, 1948 and he preceded her in death
April 10, 2005.
Monie had worked for 20 years in the Northridge and Blume
Elementary school cafeterias. She enjoyed sewing and craft projects of all kinds
and the grand children knew that she’d always have a special craft for them at holiday time.
Monie and Herman celebrated their retirement years by traveling throughout North America.
She was a former member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Wapak.
She is survived by her children Steven (Barb) Huber, Deborah
(Myron) Elsass, Susan (James) Bauer and Greg (Denise) Huber,
the proud grandmother of Benjamin (Christina), Erin, Melissa
(Scott), Matt and Andrew, step grandmother to: Erica,
Candace and Royce (Cassie), great grandmother to:
Sydney, Grayson, Lennon, Krew and Amelia, sister to Homer
Monie was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Norman, Don
and Larry Miller and 3 sisters: Sylvia Townsend, Helen
Wilkins and Cheryl Heath.
Memorial services will begin 11:00 a.m., Thursday at
Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville with Pastor Joy
Miller officiating. The family will receive friends 1
hour prior to services, private burial will be later.
Memorial contributions may be given to Johnny Appleseed
Metro Parks or the Auglaize County Humane Society 733 Keller
