Gregory Nelson Sprague, age 52 of Wapakoneta, died at 2:16 a.m., Friday, February 16, 2018 at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima. He was born on April 19, 1965, in Lima, Ohio to Ted Nelson and Doris Williams Sprague. His mother preceded him in death and his father survives in Cridersville. He married Tammy Roberts who survives in Wapakoneta.
Greg graduated from Wapakoneta High School and Apollo Joint Vocational School as an electrician. He had an interest in clocks, enjoyed cooking, and loved to joke around.
Also surviving are 2 sons – David (Mary) Kohler of Indian Lake, Levi Sprague of Lima; a step son – Christopher (Bek) Roberts of Wapakoneta; a step daughter – Kristen (Brian) Phipps of Lima; 9 grandchildren; a brother – Steven (Robyn) Sprague of Wapakoneta; a sister – Christina Sprague of Wapakoneta; a step brother – Christopher (Jane) Orchard of Wapakoneta; a half sister – Kimberly Weimert of Lima; his cat, King whom he loved and spoiled; and his many friends who will miss him.
He was preceded in death by his step mother Nancy Sprague.
Graveside services will begin 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Buckland Cemetery, Buckland. Rev. will officiate.
