Myralyn Kathryn ‘Myra’ Mayer, age 92 of Uniopolis, passed at 4:25 a.m., Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Wapak Manor Nursing Home. She was born November 15, 1928 in Perry Township, Allen County, Ohio to the late David and Lydia Fess Mayer.
Myra was a homemaker and had attended the Uniopolis United Methodist Church. As a child, she helped on the family farm and loved to go to work with her father at the Harrod Post Office selling stamps. She was often seen in Uniopolis helping with the Uniopolis Fireman’s Jamboree and running around on her motorized scooter. She loved helping people and volunteering at the church. At the manor she loved to greet people and helped in their Pink Cadillac day fund raiser.
Surviving family include – Randy (Kathy) Frick and family of Wapakoneta; Cheryl (Jim) Snider and family of Lima; and Jill (Joe) Bower and family of Lima.
Services will begin 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.
Burial will be later in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 6, 2021 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Mercy Health Hospice or the activities fund at Wapak Manor Nursing Home.
