Nalletta L. ‘Neet’ Downey, age 74 of Lima, passed at 1:20 p.m., Thursday, July 22, 2021 at her residence. She was born January 24, 1947 in Lima, Ohio to the late Albert and Hattie Viola Parlette Hahn. She married Robert A. Downey, who survives in Lima.
Neet enjoyed playing games on her tablet, playing cards and games with the family. She like to do her shopping on QVC and HSN, and was shopping for Christmas with there ‘Christmas in July’ sales. Her greatest joy was her family, spending time with them, and was blessed to spend extra time with her granddaughter – Sarenati.
Also surviving are 4 children – Cindy Lou Downey of Lima; Robert A. (Jo-Anne Copeland) of Lima; David S. (Janet) Downey of Lima; and Bradley J. (Melinda) Downey of Tekonsha, Michigan; many many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother – Bill (Linda) Hahn of Lima; 3 sisters – Hope (Gene, deceased) McBeth of Cridersville; Joy (Herb, deceased) Garmatter of Lima; Devonna (Gary) Webb of Wapakoneta.
She was preceded in death by 2 brothers – Charles (Mary) Hahn, Irvin (Hazel) Hahn a sister – Faith Reese.
