Nancy Lee Brown, age 60 passed away November 3, 2012 at 5:15 p.m. at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer and surrounded by family and close friends. She was born October 8, 1952 in Allen Park, Michigan to William and Dorothy Bish who preceded her in death. On February 2, 1983 Nancy married William “Norm” Brown who survives. They shared a wonderful life of 41 years together.
She had an avid love for animals. She also won many ribbons showing her horses through the years.
Nancy is survived by a sister Doris Cole of Lima, Ohio, four brother-in-laws Greg (Donna) Brown, David (Nancy) Brown, Donald Brown all of Lima, Ohio and Ralph (Angie) Brown of Freyburg, Ohio, two sister-in-laws Donalda (Tim) Martin of Lima ,Ohio and Cheryl (Robin) Bowersock of Uniopolis, Ohio. She is also survived by many nieces: Heather, Staci, Christina, Michelle, Melissa, Brittany, Marge, Lori and nephews Josh, Tom, Greg Jr., Robby, Bill, Gregory and B.J. 24 great nieces and nephews. Also a horse Utah Two Socks and two dogs Tequila and Buster.
She was preceded in death by two infant brothers and a brother-in-law Trevor Cole and a sister-in-law Cecelia Conaway.
A special heart felt appreciation to Evan Schrote and his fiancée Michelle Casbarro for giving Utah Two Socks her new home. Also the family would like to thank St. Rita’s Hospice, Dr. David Powell, 5-K Nursing Staff and the 2nd floor staff at the Allison Oncology Center for all the support and care given through Nancy’s battle. Your kindness helped to get us through.
The funeral service will begin 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Pastor Brandon Green will officiate. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville and one hour prior to services.
Memorial Contributions may be given to American Cancer Society or St. Rita’s Hospice.
