After retirement from St. Rita’s after 30 years as an ER nurse Opha enjoyed spending part of the winter at their home in Jacksonville where she and Leo would catch shrimp from the channel that ran behind their home. They also love to spend time deep sea fishing. She was lucky in life and in gambling where she spent many nights pressing her luck in front of a slot machine in Vegas or in a bingo hall. Upon her return we would listen to detail after detail of how close she was to hitting the ” big one”. She loved spending time with family and looked forward to family reunions where she would make a bee line for the dumplings!
