Paul E. Hurley, age 74 of Lima, past at 12:09 a.m., Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at his residence. He was born March 1, 1947 in Lima to the late Oscar L. and Minnie M. Doute Hurley. On October 6, 1973 he married Mary E. Rosenbeck who survives.
Mr. Hurley was a retired CAD designer with Better Brake Parts and previously worked at SRECO. He was a proud member of the Meadowbrook Baptist Church, the Christian Metal Detecting Club, the Patriots Group, Right to Life and Gun Owners Club. He was a big Ohio State fan and would love to tell Michigan jokes. Family was very important to him, at one time held two jobs, and he would always make time for school events.
Also surviving is a son – Rev. Shawn (Kristi) Hurley of Lima; a daughter – Teresa (Chadwick) Massie of Lima; Michelle (Kim) Kirby of West Virginia; 5 grandchildren – Alissa, Chloe, Tytus, Easton, and Samuel; a brother – Patrick (Nancy) Hurley of Williamsport, Ohio; a sister – Roberta (Mark) Faler of Lima; a sister-in-law – Sue Hurley of Lima.
He was preceded in death by a brother – Dennis Hurley and a sister – Barbara Hurley.
A memorial service will begin 12:00 p.m., Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Meadowbrook Baptist Church. Rev. Shawn Hurley will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Buckland Cemetery. Please wear Ohio State clothing.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Saturday, March 13, 2021 at the church.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Right to Life Society or Meadowbrook Baptist Church.
