Paul R. Rapp, age 95 of Cridersville, died at 11:46 a.m., Monday, November 10, 2014 at Cridersville Health Care. He was born November 3, 1919 in Hardin County, Ohio; the son of the late John George and Myrtle Rado Dille Rapp. On September 18, 1941 he married Myrtle Lauretta Marquis, who died May 26, 2009.
Mr. Rapp retired from Superior Coach Corporation where he received the twenty year, 1976 – 1996, Director Emeritus award. He was an U.S. Army World War II Veteran and a life member of the V.F.W. Post 8445 of Wapakoneta. He was a former member of the Calvary United and had worked t the Super Car Wash in Cridersville.
He is survived by 2 sons – Garret (Paulette) Rapp of Lima; Larry (Mary Lou) Rapp of Lima; 2 daughters – Nancy (Robert) Spencer of Columbus, Ohio and Ginny Rapp of Cridersville; a daughter-in-law – Jody Rapp of Cridersville; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren; a sister – Lois Crawford of Perrysburg.
He was preceded in death by a son – Terry Rapp; a brother – Wayne Rapp; and 2 sisters – Katherine Daub and Nellie Messenger.
Funeral services will begin 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 14, 2014 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Burial will follow in Hale Cemetery near Mt. Victory, Ohio. Military rites will be observed by V.F. W. Post 8445 of Wapakoneta.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
