Phillip W. Hinds, 57, of Lima passed away 7:17 a.m., Friday, November 12, 2021. He was born July 8, 1964 in Lima to Henry H. and Lois Arliene (Boerner) Hinds. His mother survives in Lima. He was formerly married to Candi Hinds and his partner Sue Fisher survives in Lima.
Phil graduated from Perry High School in 1982 and Bowling Green in 1986 with a bachelors degree in Geography. He worked for the Marathon Pipeline. He spent his life enjoying his dogs company: Dragon, Nanook, Excalibur, Guinevere, Phoenix and Shadow along with Budweiser and Marlboro Reds. He was a member of The Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 199, Lima City Dart League and a former member of the Lima Dart Association. He listened to all the Reds games on radio and was a fan of the Steelers, Ohio State and Larry Bird. His favorite band was Iron Maiden and he loved watching cartoons. He shared a love of Digimon with his son Brian.
Additional survivors include son Brian Hinds of Dublin, brother David (Linda) Hinds of Lima a host of nieces and nephews and a grand-puppy Arthur.
He was preceded in death by siblings: John, Craig and Barbara Hinds.
The family will receive friends Thursday noon to two at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. A time of sharing and toast will follow at 2.
