Phyllis V. Bannan, age 88, of Lima, died 11:11 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at St. Rita’s Medical Center. She was born September 21, 1925 to Eugene and Beula Mink Coon; both parents preceded her in death. On February 19, 1966 she married George W. Bannan who preceded her in death on August 2, 2010.
Phyllis was a cashier supervisor at K-Mart. She enjoyed reading and following politics.
She is survived by a son James (Suzie) Bannan of Englewood, Ohio; 2 grandchildren Brendan Bannan, and Mandy (Bill) Thomas; 1 great grandchild Kaine Thomas; a brother Orville ‘Bud’ Coon of Pensecola, FL.
She is preceded in death by a half sister Retta.
Visiting hours will be held from noon to 2 p.m., Saturday, March 29, at Bayliff and Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.
Memorial service will begin 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 29, at the funeral home, Rev. Charles Martindell will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be given to Angels for Animals.
