Richard L. Scheer

Richard Lee Scheer, 72, of Lima, Ohio, passed away on August 16, 2023, in St. Marys, Ohio. He was born on April 23, 1951, in Lima, Ohio.  Richard, also known as Rick, was a beloved father, brother, grandfather, and friend. He is survived by his son, Richard Ray (Martha) Scheer; his brother, William Sylvester (Jeff ) Scheer, and sister-in-law Judy Sanderson Scheer. Always close to Richard’s heart were his grandson, Alex Ray Scheer; granddaughter, Victoria Renee (Taylor) Tussing , and his favorite “little guy” great -grandson, Matthew. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester William and Mary Eileen Custer Scheer, and his brother, Robert Joe Scheer. Richard graduated from Bath High School. He worked for Clark Equipment, Air Foil Textron, and The Ohio State University, Lima Campus.  Richard enjoyed visiting with family and friends, going to car shows, and watching all varieties of sports especially his beloved Bath Wildcats. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Grand Lake Hospice. Private services have been held.
