Robert C. “Bob” Krites, 80, died at 10:45 a.m. Aug. 26, 2012, at Auglaize Acres.
He was born July 29, 1932, in Logan Township, Auglaize County, to Virgil Talmadge and Cecelia Taylor Krites, who preceded him in death. On March 11, 1951, he married Virginia Marie “Ginny” Stevenson, who died April 7, 2012.
Mr. Krites was a lifelong farmer. He graduated from Buckland High School in 1950. He was a salesman for Pioneer Seed Co., had been chairman of the Auglaize County ASCS, and had worked for National Lime and Stone Co. and Dingledine Construction Co. He was a Logan Township trustee for 32 years.
Survivors include two sons, David (Connie) Krites, of Wapakoneta, and Dennis “Willie” Krites, of Cridersville; two daughters, Julia (Kurt) Zwiebel, of St. Marys, and Janelle Krites, of Buckland; eight grandchildren, Brad (Cheri) Krites, Scott Krites, Aubrea Krites, Angie (Rick) Gable, Lisa (Doug) Williams, Jesse Kohlrieser, Joshua (Jeni) Kohlrieser, and Eric Augustus; 10 great-grandchildren, Evan Krites, Holly Krites, Kelly Krites, Malayna Krites, Graysen Krites, Isabella Krites, Kylie Williams, Brayden Kohlrieser, Bryce Kohlrieser, and Brody Williams; a brother, Harold (Margaret) Krites, of Wapakoneta; a sister, Betty Fenneman, of Spencerville; and his four-legged friend, Jake.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth Krites and Glenn Krites; and a sister, Mary Howell.
Private family services will be held. Burial will be in Fort Amanda Cemetery.
