Robert E. ‘Robbie” Herron, III of Lima, passed away 6:11 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017 at Ohio State Medical Center in Columbus. He was born Oct. 3, 1968 in Colorado Springs to Robert E. & Emelia Selvaggio Herron, II who survive in Lima.
Robbie had been a truck driver and was a member of St. Gerard’s Parish. He graduated from Lima Senior and had attended Garrett College for truck driving. Robbie had worked for Dancer Logistics of Delphos, drove tow truck for Big Daddy, and had served in the U.S. Army during Desert Storm. He enjoyed doing model cars, playing poker, coffee with his buddies and conversations with his family and friends.
Additional survivors include brothers: Anthony Joseph (Melissa) Herron of Ottoville and Christopher Robin (Lisa) Herron of Delphos and nieces and nephews: Makayla, Kiersten, Zachary, Tyler, Alex, Austen Herron and Cole Gieskin.
The family will receive friends 2-8 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. A rosary service will be held at 8:00 p.m.
Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday the 22 at St. Gerard’s Catholic Church, Lima.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the family to help with funeral cost or to the American Heart Association.
