Robert G. Jones

Robert G. Jones, 65, of Cridersville, died 4:57 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2009 at St. Ritas Medical Center. He was born July 15, 1944 in Lima to Henry M. and Grace E. McVicker Jones. Both parents are deceased. He married Christa G. Maukwitz June 8, 1969 and she survives in Cridersville.

Mr. Jones was retired from Ford Motor Company where he had been an assembler. He was a member of Wapak Eagles Aerie 691 and a former member of several CB Clubs. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include 6 Children: Thomas (Rebecca) Jones of Salt Lake City, Utah, Nancy (Jamie) Long of Sidney, Monica (Brian) Baik of Middletown, Conn, Greg Jones of Clyde, OH, Terry (Maggie) Jones of St. Marys, OH and Shannon (Timothy) Jordan of Cridersville; 6 Grandchildren: Nicole (Jason Alston)Hengstler, Christopher Jones, Jonathan Jones, Bryan (Megan Marshall) Putt, Matthew Putt and Savanna Jones; 4 siblings: Henry M. ‘Sonny’(Patricia) Jones, Jr. of Pandora, Ronald E. Jones, Sr. of Lima, Patricia J. (William) Musto of Lima and Kathleen Miller of Pandora and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister and brother –in-law Janice I. (T. J.) Hicks, and a sister-in-law Nona Eileen Jones.

The funeral will begin 11:00 a.m., Friday, Oct. 16, 2009 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville with Rev. Charlotte Hefner officiating, burial will follow in St. Matthew Cemetery, Cridersville.

The family will receive friends 2- 4 and 6-8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Lymphoma Society or to the American Heart Association.
