Robert L. Adams, age 84 of Lima, died at 10:30 p.m., Friday, May 18, 2013 at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Emergency Room. He was born May 9, 1929 in Lima, Ohio; the son of the late Louis and Harriett Pryor Adams. On April 22, 1946 he married Virginia Ann McKinley who survives.

Mr. Adams was a retired brakeman with the B & O Railroad. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 96. He enjoyed fishing with his buddies Dave and Jerry at Indian Lake, going to gun shows and air shows. He loved spending time with his grandchildren fishing and camping and his dogs Roxie and Kane.

Survivors also include 5 children – Pamela (Paul) Hedges of Lima; Becky Brewer of Lakeview, OH; Robert ‘Bobby’ (Felicia) Adams, Jr. of Cridersville; Lisa (Mike) Vonderembse of Lima; Brian (Kim) Adams of Lima; a son-in-law – Mike Boruff of Lima; 15 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter – Vickie Boruff and a son-in-law – Mike Brewer.

Memorial services will begin 4:00 p.m., Monday, May 20, 2013 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
