Robert N. ‘Bob’ Mumea, age 94, of Lima passed away 9:40 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 4 at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home. He was born March 27, 1924 in Columbus Grove to the late Matt and Cora Buckingham Mumea. He married Shirley Baker Dec. 21, 1946 and she survives in Lima.
Bob had been a journeyman printer and worked at Stippich’s Hardware after retiring, a job he truly enjoyed. He had served with honor in the U.S. Army during WW II having received a Purple Heart and Bronze Star among other metals. He was a life member of VFW Post 1275 and Elks. He was a tremendous Disney fan and loved Mickey Mouse. He enjoyed making model planes and was famous for his homemade chocolate fudge and meatballs.
Additional survivors include children: Susan (Ernie) Debord and Rex (Judith L.) Mumea both of Lima, 5 grandsons: Ryan (Megan) Andrews, Bryan (Jean) Andrews, Rex Mumea, Justin (Heather) Debord and Gentry (Mindy) Debord and great granddaughters: Peyton Andrews and Kailee Buell.
Private family services will be held at Shawnee Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Deb’s Dogs

To Rex and Judy, I lost track of you two, but saw this obit in the paper. Bob sounded like he had a full and happy life. I hope you have lots of good memories.
Shirley, Susan and Rex, so sorry to read of Bob's passing. God grant you strength in the days ahead. He had a long life with many memories to sustain you.
