Robert W. Wallace age 74, of Lima went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, April 2 surrounded by his family at home. He was born January 1, 1944 to the late Bert Wardner and Ila June Mitchell Wallace.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years Martha (Smith) Wallace. He leaves behind 3 daughters Cyndi (Randy) Bishop of Springfield, Sara (John) Newland of Lima and Ginger (Kevin) Huber of Lima, grandchildren: Justin (Rachel) Bishop, Brooke (Brian) Brennan, Jacob Bishop, Kyle (Shelbi) Newland, Keenan Newland, Kurtis Newland, Heather (Jim) Harvey, Jonathan (Tami) Huber, 8 great grandchildren; 2 sisters: Delores Holden and Dortha (Will) Gray both of Cridersville, sister in-law Mary Oshiro (Fred) of Hawaii, and close cousin Bob White.
He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law Art Holden.
Bob graduated from Cridersville High School and went to work 18 years at Clark Equipment. He retired from Shawnee Local Schools as a supervisor of the custodial, maintenance, and grounds departments with more than 28 years worked. He was a member of Lima Mennonite Church where he served his Lord in many different capacities. After Christ his love of family was most important and he spent a great deal of time with them.
The family will receive friends 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, April 6 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home Cridersville and 9:30 to 10:00 Saturday at Lima Mennonite Church. The memorial service will be at 10:00 at church and private burial will follow.
Memorial contributions may be given to Lima Mennonite Church Missions or to the family.
