Roger Foreman, age 73 of Lima, passed at 12:05 p.m., Sunday, February 13, 2022, at Shawnee Manor with his loved ones beside him. He was born November 21, 1948, to Lawrence and Esther Saunders Foreman. On November 30, 1990, he married Sandra Place, who survives.
Mr. Foreman was a local radio personality known as ‘Roger Ride’ and was on T102 and WLIO. After retiring from radio, he worked at St. Rita’s Medical Center for 16 years, starting with the Help Me Grow program and ending his time there in the mail room copy center. He was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran, was an avid Ohio State fan, and a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church.
His hobbies included golfing, dancing, gardening, creating floral items and reading about the Civil War. His favorite music was the oldies, rock and roll, and Motown.
Rogers greatest joy was his family, and his granddaughters were a true treasure to him.
Also surviving is a daughter – Danielle Mistyurik of Lima; 2 granddaughters – Amber Williams and Alexis Zuercher.
No public services or visitations are planned. Private family services were held with military rites.
