Ronald G. Lowry, age 54 of Huntsville and formerly of Cridersville, died at 7:15 p.m., Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born April 7, 1960 in Lima, Ohio. He is the son of Gordon Robert and Carol Ann Keller Lowry, who survive in Cridersville. On November 24, 2014 he married Julie Lee Osbun Taylor, who survives in Huntsville.
Ron graduated from Wapakoneta High School and Apollo Career Center and then attended the University of Toledo. He had been an instructor in the auto technology department of the Apollo Career Center for over 27 years. He is a past member of BCA and APA pool leagues, was a Skills USA advisor, and an avid fisherman. He cherished spending time with his family and relaxing at the family cottage in Coldwater, Michigan.
Also surviving is a son – Jacob Ronald Lowry of Columbus, OH; a daughter – Jessica Ann (Kevin) Mulder of Sioux Center, IA; 2 granddaughters – Amelia Ann Mulder and Ada Grace Mulder; step children – Chelsea Brooke (Lindsey Rife) Taylor of Bellefontaine, OH; Thomas Charles Taylor of Huntsville, OH; 2 brothers – Robert ‘Bob’ (Jacqueline) Lowry of Wapakoneta; Greg (Lisa) Lowry of Wapakoneta; a sister – Susan ‘Susie’ (Joe) Carder of Cridersville; 13 nieces and nephews; 7 great nieces and great nephews; and a mother-in-law – Margaret Osbun of Kenton.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law – Charles Osbun.
The family will receive friends from noon – 4:00 p.m., Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life will begin 4:00 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home. , Cridersville. Rev. Loran Miracle will officiate.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Apollo Education Foundation for the Scott Coffey Scholarship
