Ronald Thomas ‘Tom’ Kunkleman, Sr. 78, of Cridersville died 5:00 p.m. Tuesday June 30 th at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born Aug. 23, 1936 in Lima to the late Herbert Paul and Lucille Louella Wade Kunkleman. He married Maxene Rose Kinstle July 14, 1969 and she survives in Cridersville.
Tom had been a tool maker and gun smith owning Tomax Tool & Gun. He was a life member of Sabre’s Gun Club, the NRA, Tri State Gun Collectors, Inc. and American Single Shot Rifle Association.
Additional Survivors include 2 daughters: Kim Dial and Peggy Gallimore both of Lima, a son: Mark (Toni) Lowe of Ft. Jennings, 10 grandchildren: R.T. Kunkleman, III, Chris Kunkleman, Lakin (Dan) Johns, Rayna Kunkleman, Erica (Keith) Manele, Shane (Cassie) Doyle, Noah (Emmy) Lowe, Jen Doyle, Jessica Vassar and Jess McGee, 24 great grandchildren, a sister Linda Carol Robinson 2 cousins: Marilyn Graham and Carolyn Kohler and a special friend Mitch Wynn.
He was preceded in death by 4 children: Kent D., Jeff W. and Ronald Thomas, Jr. Kunkleman and Kari Vassar, a brother: Robert Kunkleman and a sister Judith Kunkleman.
A celebration of Life will be held Monday, from 1-4 p.m. July 6 at Sabre’s Gun Club 5090 Hanthorn Road Lima.
Burial will be at a later date in Fairmount Cemetery
