Rosanna R. Gilroy age 74, of Lima died 1:35 a.m., Sat. Oct. 31, 2009 at Auglaize Acres Nursing Home. She was born Feb. 9, 1935 in Lima, Ohio to Richard B. and Prudy Mae Cottrell Harrod. Both parents are deceased. She married Kenneth H. Gilroy July 7, 1954 and he preceded her in death Aug. 29, 2001.
Survivors include a son: Tony (Julie Scott) Gilroy of Lima, 2 daughters: Candy (Roy) Jarvis of Waynesfield and Brenda (Vernon) Baker of Lima; 10 grandchildren: Angela Rose (James) Wells, Kenneth Anthony (Jess) Baker, Amanda Diane (James) Gross, Randy Allen Jarvis, Megan Raylene Scott, Jonathan Alan Baker, Ronald Roy Jarvis, Anthony Wilken Gilroy, James Vernon Baker, Emily Rose Gilroy, great grandchildren Kaylee Belle Baker, Zachary Allen Wells and Allison Lynne Gross and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother: James Harrod and a sister: Millie Stiles.
Mrs. Gilroy had been a LPN for Lost Creek Care Center, at many area nursing homes and Home Healthcare and had been a homemaker. She had been a member of the V. F. W. Post 1275 Auxiliary, American Legion Post 96 Auxiliary, Eagles Lodge Aerie 691 Auxiliary, Brands Lake Fishing Club and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and bingo with her grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:30 p.m., Monday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.
The funeral service will be 11:30 a.m., Tuesday Nov. 3 at the funeral home. Pastor James Baker will officiate. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
