Rev. Rosella ‘Jean’ Mosler, age 90 of Lima, went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 6:57 a.m., Monday, March 14, 2016 at Florida Hospital Flagler. She was born October 6, 1925 in Allen County to Samuel and Grace Stoker Mote, who preceded her in death. On October 30, 1948 she married Carl A. Mosler, who preceded her in death on May 22, 1979.
Mrs. Mosler was a domestic engineer having been employed by several area Dr’s including Dr. Robert & Kathleen Stern and Dr. & Mrs. Richard & Lynn Capone, having nannied their children. She was a 1943 Shawnee High School graduate and a 1963 graduated from Faith Bible Institute, earning her ministers license. She spent 40 years serving her Lord teaching Sunday School, leading worship, and nursing home ministries. She was a past member of Faith Temple Church and a current member of Victory Center in Wapak.
Survivors include five children, Terry (Gerry) Mosler of Seattle, WA; Desma (Bob) Carroll of Lima; Delores (John, dec.) Gossard of Bunnell, FL; David (Linda) Mosler of Ada, OH; and Grace Rowe of Lima; 9 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law John Gossard; great granddaughter – Aubrey Mosler, and great granddaughter Callie Marie Willis; a brother – Dale (Gladys) Mote; 3 sisters – Ruth (Cecil) Verbryke, Gladys (Richard) Phalen, and Dortha (Marvin) Hinds.
Jean was a very special Godly woman who was loved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.
A going home celebration will begin at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Her son, Rev. David Mosler and her pastor Rev. Tony Shaw will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
