A. Ruth Rolston, age 93 of Waynesfield, went home to be with the Lord at 7:16 a.m., Monday, February 17, 2014 in Auglaize Acres Nursing Home. She was born July 19, 1920 in Kossuth, Ohio to the late Floyd and Lula Stiles Jacobs. On June 12, 1939 she married Glen H. Rolston, who died November 17, 1982.
Mrs. Rolston was a homemaker and had worked as a process operator with Fisher Cheese. She was a member of the Waynesfield Baptist Church. She had a great love for babies, enjoyed walking, reading and picking up seashells.
Survivors include 2 sons – Jerry (Kitty) Rolston of Cridersville; Gil (Deborah) Rolston of Wapakoneta; 4 daughters – Helen Mowery of Ada; Janet Helmlinger of Waynesfield; Peggy Rolston of Cridersville; Deanece (Aaron) Dodds of Lakeview; 19 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; 13 great great grandchildren; a brother – Warren Jacobs of Lima.
She was preceded in death by a son – Roy Rolston; 4 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a great great grandchild; two brothers – Harlon Jacobs and Richard Jacobs; 3 sisters – Rosaline Whetstone, Mary Haudenshield, and Luella Bell.
Funeral services will begin 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. The Rev. Donald Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery, near Uniopolis.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Waynesfield Baptist Church.
