Sherlon Ann Wilmoth, age 67, of Cridersville died 10:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at the home of her son in Wapakoneta.
She was born July 28, 1943 in Lima to Creed and Myrtle Butcher Casto. On August 4, 1969 she married Ronald Lee Wilmoth who died December 29, 1998.
Mrs. Wilmoth was a member of Evening Light Tabernacle. She was a homemaker and had been a nurses aid at Cridersville Health Care Center and Otterbein Cridersville.
Her CB handle was “Mother Hen” and her husband’s was “Red Rooster”. She had been a volunteer at Lima Memorial Health Systems Dialysis Unit and at Cridersville Elementary School Cafeteria. She enjoyed singing old time gospel music.
Survivors include 7 sons, Gerald Hartzog of Michigan, Robert (Connie) Wilmoth of Columbus Grove, Ohio, Stephen Wilmoth of Cridersvile, Larry (Michelle) Wilmoth of Lima, Norman Wilmoth of Cridersville, Kirk (Debbie) Wilmoth of Lima and Jason (Theresa) Wilmoth of Wapakoeta, 2 daughters, Patricia (Doug) Herold of Columbus, IN and Wanda (Brad) Adams of Liberty, IN, 31 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 2 sisters, Andrea Casto-Smith of Lima, OH and Janet Baldridge of Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by 1 brother, Norman Casto.
Funeral services will begin 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 9, 2010 in Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville, Pastors Lee Walters and Eddie Wireman will officiate. Burial follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Saturday, August 7, 2010 and 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Rita’s Medical Center Hospice Program or to Lima Memorial Health Systems Auxilliary.
