Sheron L. LaBelle , better known as MeMaw, age 87 of Lima and formerly of Michigan and Arizona passed away 10:10 a.m., Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at The Greens of Lima. She was born Dec. 11, 1934 in Benton, IL to the late Clyde and Helen (Tedrow) Moore. She married Lawrence A. LaBelle and he preceded her in death Aug. 16, 2011.
Sheron loved to read, crochet, play cards and games with the family and sip on some Drambuie. Her favorite thing would be shopping, shopping and shopping.
Survivors include children: Michael (Karen) LaBelle of Escondido, CA, Janice (Bob) LaBelle-Lockwood of Lima, Pamela (Mark) DeHate of Memphis, MI, Mark (Susana) LaBelle of Camarillo, CA and Sandra (Philip) Everett of Sterling Heights, MI; 11 grandchildren: Donald (Rachel) Miller, Danielle Thompson, Douglas (Stephanie) Miller, Justin (Karen) Rothenhauser, Dayton (Megan) DeHate, Janelle (Alan) Radcliff, Mark DeHate, Jr., Sara Rothenhauser, Nikolas (Audra) LaBelle and Jacob (Elizabeth) Rothenhauser, 3 step grandchildren: Shawna Nylund, Cheyenne Everett and Dylan Everett, 13 great grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren; half-brothers: Jace (Ann) Reed and Jack (Karen) Reed both of Michigan and Jed Reed of Arizona and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son Robert LaBelle, 2 grandchildren: Andre LaBelle and Suzanne LaBelle and a sister and brother-in-law Karen Ann and Charles Janssen.
The family will receive friends 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday, September 8, 2022 at Forest Park United Methodist Church 315 S. Collins Ave. Lima. A memorial service will follow at 11 with Rev. Lynda Lockwood officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Rita’s Hospice, the Alzheimer’s Association, Deb’s Dogs, or the charity of the donor’s choice.
