Shirley Hefner, age 53 of Lima, died at 1:36 p.m., Thursday, October 25, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born April 5, 1959 to Robert Andrew and Wanda M. Crouch Meeker, who preceded her in death. She married Danny R. Hefner March 5, 1983 and he survives in Lima.
Shirley had been an AVON rep for 13 years and had worked at Red Lobster and Bob Evans. She enjoyed spending time with her family, Danielle was the light of her life. She also enjoyed playing BINGO and the Lottery and was an avid cat lover. She was famous for her sugar cookies and her kind heart.
Survivors include a son Brian (Lacey Forsythe) Hefner of Lima, a daughter Melissa (Sam Jr.) Blakeley of Harrod, a granddaughter Danielle, a brother Robert L. ‘Bob’ (Toneta) Meeker of Elida and sisters: Linda Craft and Patty (Mike) Hefner both
of Lima.
She was preceded in death by a brother Ronald E. Meeker.
Funeral service will begin 10:30 a. m. Monday Oct. 29 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville with Pastor Terry Brock officiating and burial will follow at St. Matthew Cemetery, Cridersville.
The family will receive friends 2 – 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to American Cancer or St. Rita’s Hospice.
