Steven D. ‘Steve’ Clymer, age 66 of Lima, passed at 4:40 a.m., Monday, December 27, 2021, at Lima Memorial Hospital. He was born September 3, 1955, in Lima, to the late Norman and Laura Ebersole Clymer. Steve was formerly married to Linda L. Bailey Clymer.
Survivors include 2 daughters – Amanda Clymer of Lima; Sarah (Josh) Beery of Lima; an adopted daughter – Alta Webb-Meadows of WA; 2 grandchildren – Savannah and Elijah; a brother – Don (Kay) Clymer of CO; and a sister – Sue Frye of FL.
He was preceded in death by a brother – Bill Clymer.
Steve graduated from Shawnee High School and studied music at Bowling Green University. He was the former co-owner of Clymer Medical Transport and recently worked as a driver with Lucky Limo. Other jobs also included working at Marimor School, driving school buses for the Shawnee School System, and coaching his daughter’s softball team for Shawnee. He was very talented on the drums and contributed to the local music community for over 30 years. Steve will be remembered for being a good listener, his goofy nature, his ability to make everyone laugh, and his love of family.
A celebration of Steve’s life with a gathering of family and friends will be from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m., Saturday, January 1, 2021, at the activity center of Shawnee Alliance Church, West side. His cremated remains will be buried in Fairmount Cemetery, Denver, CO.
