Nathan ‘Nate’ Whitaker, age 21 of Harrod, passed Monday, April 26, 2021 in Lima. He was born July 24, 1999 in Lima, Ohio to Steven W. Whitaker of Harrod and Patricia (Chuck Goodman) Money of Lima.
Nate had attended Allen East High School, Westminster United Methodist Church, and had worked at Drews Lanscapping in Bluffton. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, baseball, and Ohio State Football. He loved playing with his nieces and nephews, which he loved all children and animals. He will be remembered for his big heart, always thinking of others, and quick to help anyone in need.
Also surviving is a sister – Desiree Long of Lima; Maternal grandparents – William and Deb Pack of Lima; Roger and Gail Shellenbarger of Lima; Paternal grandparents – Sandra (Earl Webb, deceased) Webb of Harrod; Jerry and Shirley Whitaker of Dunkirk; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews; and his two dogs – Buddy and Buddy.
Funeral services will begin 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 3, 2021 at Westminster United Methodist Church. Rev. Dave Burkhart will officiate. Burial will follow in Salem Westminster Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m., Sunday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville, and from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Monday at the church.
