Steven R. Frobase, age 61, of Elida died 8:25 p.m., Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at St. Rita’s Medical Center. He was born Aug. 1, 1951 in Lima to Franklin W. and Ruth Eleanor Shindledecker Frobase, both parents are deceased.
Mr. Frobase had been a self -employed store owner in Ocala, FL and a painter and decorator in Venice, FL and in Lima. He built his first Heath Kit Radio at the age of 13 and has been a life- long HAM operator. He loved fishing, feeding squirrels and birds. He was always ready for a lively debate on politics and religion.
Survivors include 3 siblings: James L. (Jean) Frobase of Lakeview, Deanne L. (William) Miller of Columbus and Brian (Connie) Frobase of Elida, 6 nieces, 3 nephews a step grandson Aiden, his best friend Cheryl Hook of 5 years who was always by his side and many life-long friends.
There will be a private family service this summer.
