Susan Kathleen ‘Susie Q’ Meeks, age 77 of Lima, passed at 6:34 p.m., Saturday, February 11, 2023.  She was born September 9, 1945 in Lima,  Ohio to the late James Wallace Cooley and Florentine Elizabeth ‘Honey’ Martin Cooley.  She married Wayne Meeks and he survives in Lima.

Susan and Wayne were together since 1980, married in 2001. She was raised catholic from Delphos. Prior to her retirement, she spent time traveling in the semi with Wayne. They enjoyed traveling on cruise ships. They previously owned the Royal Del and Sportscasters. She loved everyone, never knew a stranger.

Susan is also survived by 3 daughters – Deborah Clark of Lima; Theresa (Sam) Borger of Lima; Elizabeth (Nathan) Sargent of Elida; 4 stepchildren – Shane Meeks of New Hampshire; Sasha Knight of New Hampshire; Eric Kaiser of Detroit; Shawn Huffman of Delphos; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; 3 sisters – Diane Fetzer of Middle Point; Patricia Patton of Delphos; and Joann Cooley of Delphos.

She was preceded in death by her siblings – Robert Cooley, Kimberly Cooley, Vickie Lee, and Thomas Cooley, and a stepson Travis Meeks.

A celebration of life will be Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Springbrook Gardens, 4240 North West Street, Lima, Ohio from 2:00- 5:00 p.m., family and friends welcome.
