Syble A. Cummings, age 82 of Harrod, passed at 7:20 a.m., Thursday, November 1, 2018, at her residence. She was born January 19, 1936 in Spartanburg, South Carolina to the late Lasco and Della Pack. On December 22, 1973 she married Billy Ray Cummings who passed away October 1, 2017.

Syble was a homemaker for the family home. She also was a cook for St. Ritas Medical Center and Lost Creek Care Center. She enjoyed reading, gardening and all of her family. Everyone was special to her and was very loved. Syble was a member of Lima Missionary Baptist Church.

Also surviving are two daughters – Teresa (Chris) Williams of Lima and Mariam (Mark) Sleight of Harrod, two step-daughters – Angela Cummings of Summerville, GA and Kimberlie Cummings of Lima. 19 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren, two brothers – William Carl (Debbie) Pack, Jerry Pack both of Lima, three sisters – Patty (O’Neal) Wireman of Harrod, Linda (Terry) Brock of Lima and Shelby (Jeff) Bridges of Beaverdam,
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Wanda Murino and Brenda Isenbarger; and a sister, Fay Thompson.

Funeral services will begin 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 3, 2018, at Lima Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Terry Brock officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery in Westminster.

The family will receive friend’s noon to 3:00 p.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lima Missionary Baptist Church.
