Taft Farmer, Jr. age 76, of Prescott, Arizona, formerly of Lima, died Friday April 19 at 5:35 p.m.
He was born in Cardinal, KY on Nov 4, 1936 to Taft Sr. and Margaret (Suggs) Farmer. They both preceded him in death.
Taft retired from the Lima Ford plant. He was a member of the UAW and served in the US Army. Taft had ties to Lima Missionary Baptist Church.
He loved to travel in his motor home with his little dog Pork Chop, they made numerous friends where ever they traveled.
He is survived by 3 sons. Michael (Jenny) Farmer and Taft lll (Cindy) Farmer both of Prescott and Steve (Tracy) Farmer of Lima, a daughter Pamela (Bob) Hadding of Lima, a brother Larry (Jane) Farmer of Northport, FL and a sister Etta(Mike) Woessner of Lima, 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and special friends Louise and Tina Wilder of Cubbage, Ky .
He was preceded in death by an infant son David Lee Farmer, a grandson Cliff Hadding and a granddaughter Kristen Hill, a sister Shirley Campbell and a special Grandma Rebecca (Farmer) Green.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 1 from 5-8 pm at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home in Cridersville, Ohio and one hour prior to the service at the church.
The funeral will be at Lima Missionary Baptist Church Thursday, May 2 at 1p.m. with Revs. Terry Brock and Denny Hunter and Tab Hunter officiating. Burial will be at Fairmount Cemetery.
