Terri Kraetschmer (73) of Wapakoneta passed away on January 3, 2023, after a battle with non-alcohol-related cirrhosis of the liver. She spent her final days with those she loved so much by her side.
Terri was born Teresa Jean Becker on November 29, 1949, to parents Ruth and Maurice Becker. She grew up in Spencerville, Ohio, and was a 1968 graduate of Spencerville High School.
Terri’s life may have been cut short, but she touched the hearts of many while she was with us. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, she will be missed by all whose lives she was a part of. She was always willing to help someone in need and had “adopted” many extra family members over the years.
After retiring as safety director at Wannamacher Truck Lines, Terri enjoyed working in her garden and watching the birds gather at the feeders – especially the cardinals.
Terri is preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Maurice Becker; her brother, David Becker; sister, Roberta “Bobbi” Gayer; and brother-in-law Gerald Counts.
She is survived by Edward, her husband of 36 years; daughters, Heather (Shane) Miller-Klingler and Nikki (Frank) Miller-Licht; three grandsons, Kelan, Ian, and Chord; Stepdaughter, Crystal (Devon) Revees; Stepson, Jon Kraetschmer; four step-grandchildren, Antonio, Liam, Sophia, and Emma; two sisters Pat (Bill) Vermeer and Sharon Counts; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
To all of those she loved and touched deeply, please join us in celebrating her life Tuesday, January 10, 2023. The family will receive friends, Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and a memorial service will follow at 4 p.m. at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Rita’s Mercy Health Hospice.
