Theda Kay Sharp, aged 74, of Wapakoneta, passed away at 10:20 p.m., Thursday, May 5, 2016 at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima. She was born February 17, 1942 in Lancaster, Fairfield County, Ohio, to the late Russell Binkley and late Clara C. Binkley of Lancaster, Ohio.
On September 5, 1982, she married Gene S. Sharp, who survives in Wapakoneta. She is also survived by a daughter, R. Christine Flora, Beth A. Riley of San Diego, CA; a son, Michael D. Flora of Illinois; grandchildren Michelle and Wesley Osterhout of Marysville, Ohio; Chloe Flora of Illinois; Hannah Flora of Martha’s Vineyard, MA; Tammy Hickerson of Toledo, Ohio; and great-grandson Nicholas Osterhout of Marysville, Ohio.
Mrs. Sharp retired as a legal secretary with Douglas Jauert, attorney at law and formerly worked at the Lima Army Tank Plant. She was a member of St. Marks Lutheran Church, Wapakoneta; the Order of Eastern Star, from which she received her 50-year pin; and the Order of the Rainbow for Girls. Mrs. Sharp was a passionate pet lover.
She was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Rhonda L. Sites.
Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m., Monday, May 9, 2016 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Rev. Mark Bauer will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m., Sunday, May 8, 2016 and one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Auglaize or Allen County Humane Society, Debz Dogs, or Angels for Animals.
