Theodore William Sharpe, Sr., age 70 of Lima, passed Monday night, July 26, 2021 at his residence. He was born August 16, 1950 in Lake City, TN to the late Edwin Milo and Wilma Imogene Gratz Sharpe. He married Caren Archable Giesey, who survives in Lima.
Ted worked in telecommunications and formerly with the United Telephone Company in Lima. He was an U.S. Army Veteran serving in Vietnam. His hobbies included metal detecting, coin collecting, and fishing.
Also surviving is a son – Theodore W. (Veronica) Sharpe, Jr. of Hamilton, Ohio; a daughter – Amy Blackwood of Bakersfield, CA; children – Danielle R. (Kenneth L.) Phoenix, Christopher Jon (Jennifer) Giesey, Thomas W. (Kendra) Giesey, Charles C.M. Giesey; Steven Mineyard and Perry Gorman; grandchildren – Jassel Gomez, Daniel Gomez, Michael Espinosa, Eric Espinosa, Theodore W. Sharpe, III; Kayla Sharpe, David Sharpe, Brea Blackwood, Camy Blackwood, Tyler Blackwood; Codi M. Giesey; Trae J. Cusac; Tyler D. Cusac; Trent D. Phoenix; Brandon Giesey; Skyler M. Giesey; Chyanne D. Giesey; Isabel M. Giesey;
great grandchildren – Delilah Gomez, Julissa Gomez, Julian Gomez, Olivia Espinosa, Athena Stockton;
Thomas Cusac; Lennon Cusac, and Scarlett Cusac; siblings – Cathy Watson of Lima; Dean Sharpe of Lima; Sybil Makruski of FL; and Belinda John of Lima.
Memorial services will begin 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville; where military rites will be observed.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.
