Tom Garl
Born Aug. 9, 1936 to Kenneth Garl and Virginia (Zel) Powell. He died
July 16th in his home at age 81. He was a 1956 Kenton graduate, Navy
veteran, and retired from Rockwell in Kenton. Tom married Janice in
1995, who loved him with all her heart, and spent many years of joy in
marriage. Survivors also include son Bill (Jill) Garl, daughters
Terri (Ed) Drumheller, and Melody Caudill; step-sons Dean (Diana)
Scott, Scott (Missy) Jones, and Jeff (Mark) Brown-Jones; step-daughter
Judy (Steve) Campbell; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He loved his family, square dancing, tennis, and Drive-Inns. He will
be buried in the newer section of Elida Greenlawn Cemetery, beside
Tom and Janice’s uniquely designed huge black heart tombstone,
easily seen from Dutch Hollow Rd on the Right side facing cemetery.
