Thomas M. Eversole, age 78 of Cridersville, passed at 7:06 a.m., Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Otterbein-Cridersville. He was born September 29, 1943 in Lima, Ohio to the late Dwight E. and Dorothy E. Wurst Eversole. On September 18, 1965 he married Diana L. Mart, who survives.
Tom was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a retired computer programmer. He had retired from Ohio Northern University, and had formerly worked at Lima Memorial Hospital, First Federal Savings and Loan, and Duff Trucking. He had also been the former owner and operator of Computer Land.
Growing up, he lived close to St. Gerard’s Catholic Church where he attended and was married to Diana. Tom was multitalented. He loved old cars, working on computers, reading, working on wood puzzles, drawing, archery, bowling, and tops. You could call him a walking encyclopedia; he could work on anything or answer any the question the children and grandchildren would ask. He loved the outdoors, bicycling, hiking, and camping.
Also surviving is a son – Michael L. (Kellie S.) Eversole of Kenton; a daughter – Karen K. (fiancée – Greg Henderson) Eversole of Rockford; 6 grandchildren – Tylor Fugatt, Jordan Eversole, Olivia Walton, Corey Eversole, Kaylie Eversole, and Jacob Eversole; 2 great grandchildren – Boston Fugatt and Everleigh Eversole; 3 brothers – Donald Eversole of Lima; James (Linda) Eversole SC; Ralph (Mary) Eversole of Lima; 3 sisters – Dorothy Shrider of FL; Barbara (Gene) Gross of FL; and Janet (Matt) Voll of IN.
He was preceded in death by 5 brothers – Charles Eversole, Stephen Eversole, Bruce Eversole, Philip Eversole, Martin Eversole and a sister – Teresa Eversole.
There will be a gathering from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Military rites will be observed.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ohio State Parks or any local park programs.
