Obituary

Thomas W. Bowerman age 71, of Lima, died 7:55 p.m., Monday Nov. 18 at his residence. He was born July 6, 1942 in Lima to George Albert ‘Spook’ and Cecil Esther Mawhorr Bowerman, who preceded him in death. He married Nancy S. Gesler Dec. 23, 1967 and she survives in Lima.
Mr. Bowerman had been a corrections officer at LCI and was a member of Crossroads Church of God. He was a 1960 graduate of Bath High School and had attended Ohio State University and Liberty University.
Additional survivors include a son Sean (Jennifer) Bowerman, a daughter Megan (Faron) Kendle, 7 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and a brother-in-law Dennis (Betty) Gesler.
He was preceded in death by two sisters Violet and Rosetta Jane Bowerman.
A memorial service will be held 7:00 p.m., Sunday, November 24 at Crossroads Church with Pastors Randy Bargerstock and Gary Rummel officiating. The family will receive friends a half hour prior to the service.
Private burial of cremated remains will be at a later date in Bluelick Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bowerman Trust and will be divided between boys education in Uganda, girls school in Haiti and a church camp scholarship fund for youth. Send donations to PO Box 103 Harrod, Ohio 45850
