Timothy C. Allison, age 62 of Cridersville, passed at 8:13 p.m., Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at St. Rita’s Medical Center’s emergency room. He was born November 4, 1958 in Ohio to the late Charles F. Allison and Anna M. Marshall Allison of Lima. On June 14, 1980 he married Liz A. John, who survives.
Tim was co-owner and manager of Ohio Cycle Works and a member of the Shawnee Alliance Church. His life revolved around his family and cars. His hobbies included fishing and working on cars especially his 1969 Camero. Tim started his racing career at the age of 13 and soon became an avid racer. He was known as “Mr. Excitement” at the race track, winning many track championships and 101 sprint car races. He will be remembered for his hard work ethics, being competive, always believing in people and his positive outlook.
Also surviving are 2 daughters – Heather (Jason) Liening of Elida and Heidi (Andrew) Fox of Lima; 6 grandchildren – Cole Harmon, Caleb Harmon, Jade Fox, Cooper Liening, Jemma Fox, and Caden Liening; 2 brothers – Casey (Lisa) Allison of Cridersville and Roy (Tina) Allison of Lima.
He was preceded in death by his father – Charlie Allison and a sister – Bernadine Ann Allison who passed in 1957.
Funeral services will begin 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 19, 2021 at Shawnee Alliance Church, West campus. Pastor Kris Browning will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Matthew Cemetery, near Cridersville.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m., Sunday, July 18, 2021 at Shawnee Alliance Church and from 10:00 a.m. until time of services Monday.
