Obituary

Anthony P. ‘Tony’ Morningstar, age 38, of Lima passed away 8:02 a.m., Tuesday, July 06, 2021 at Lima Memorial. He was born September 5, 1982 to Larry Duane Morningstar and the late Dorcas S. Gilbert.
Tony enjoyed cooking, camping and being outdoors. He was a car enthusiast having owned a sweet Monte Carlo. He also enjoyed all types of music. He had been a cook at Golden Corral Buffet & Grill.
Additional survivors include a daughter Piper Ann Ganser of Coldwater, siblings: Jared (Emma Ankenbrandt) Morningstar of Maumee, Allison (Yusef) Sharaf of Wapak, Faith (Travis) Christy of Wapak, niece and nephew: Olivia Varuska and Naveed Sharaf; Paternal grandmother Ruth Morningstar of Wapak, maternal grandfather Fred (Esther) Gilbert of Indiana; aunts and uncle: Kris Moringstar of Lima, Keith Morningstar of Columbus, Lyn Morningstar of Wapak and Deanne O’Connell of Washington State.
He was preceded in death by a brother: John Liesner, stepmother Lora Morningstar, paternal grandfather John Morningstar and maternal grandmother Audra Waterman.
A gathering will be held 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 16, 2021 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville
Memorial contributions may be given for an education fund for Piper c/o Lyn Morningstar 18660 Fairmount Rd Wapakoneta, OH 45895.

I remember going over to Tony's house a lot as a kid and hanging out when he lived on Court St. Tony was always a happy kid and a lot of fun to be around. Tony was a very kind person with a good heart. He will be missed. My prayers and deepest sympathies go to his family.
